Scratchy is an app by Federico Infelici, Italy, who is the data controller. Contact him via the contact link on the app's App Store or Google Play page.
No accounts or profiles
You do not need an account. We do not retain names, email addresses or personal profiles. Room codes, reconnect tokens and finger positions live only in server memory. Rooms are temporary and are removed when closed or expired.
Your back photos
If you choose your own photo, we store it temporarily only to relay it to your partner. A photo may contain personal data: share only images you have permission to use and with the pictured person's consent. Photos are deleted when the room closes or within 24 hours at most. A restart removes rooms from memory; leftover photos are still deleted within that limit. Anyone who has a photo's random URL can access it, and devices may retain a cached copy.
Technical data and advertising
Your IP address is used briefly in memory to limit abuse and is not saved by the application. We do not log tokens, positions or photos. Scratchy uses Google AdMob; Google may process device identifiers and other technical data to deliver and measure ads. Personalized ads require consent where applicable, through UMP and, on iOS, ATT for tracking. You can revisit privacy preferences in the app and tracking permissions in your device settings. Read Google's privacy policy.
Purposes and your rights
We process temporary session data to provide the service you request, and prevent abuse based on our legitimate interest in security. Consent is the basis for personalized advertising where required. Under the GDPR, where applicable, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability, object to processing and withdraw consent. You may complain to the Italian data protection authority or your local supervisory authority. Use the contact link on the store page; we cannot recover data from an already deleted room.
Children
Scratchy is not directed at children under 13.
